Family Time

It's was a busy and wonderful weekend for us .

Satuday :
It's also Daddy Birthday on the 17th May , Saturday .

Ever Since Daddy was very busy with work and study , He hardly had time for himself. Sometime i have to ask for his schedule and "curi" some of his time, so he can have some break and spends sometime with me and Jeremy . For this Birthday, i decided to have a Birthday "pot lak" & invite my PIL and SIL to come over to our house to have some "makan-makan" , No Birthday Cake, But we had many different flavour of Donuts as a Birthday Cake . Beside that, i cooked for the whole family, my main dishes was "Asam Laksa" .Even this was my first time cooking "Asam Laksa" for the whole family , the result come out quite GOOD, my hubby give me "full mark" heheheh . I was so happy and satisfied, at least i see everybody was so enjoy with the "Asam Laksa" i cooked. ("wink- wink") . I also prepared Dragon fruit & Lychee Jelly, Mushroom soup + garlic tuna bread and Hot dog + salad .
Last , Happy Birthday to Daddy !! We Love You Very Much .

Sunday:
We are invited to a friend baby full moon at Puchong . It's was a cute lil boy name Joshua .

Monday :
First , Happy Belated Wesak Day to u all . We spend our day at Alamanda & of cos we never miss the indoor playground, every kids love playground, So do Jeremy .

Easy way to cook Assam Laksa

The ingredients for the ground spices are ready make , Even is ready make, i adjust the taste by adding more "asam keping" & Red cilies to make it more sour and spicy .
For the fish, i used canned mackerel . For other side ingredients, I bought pineapple, cucumber, onion, red chilies, limau kasturi and laksa noodles, . The other important ingredient is the prawn paste which I put a teaspoon into the bowl before savouring my Asam Laksa.
And I must say this premix was quite close to 75 %. At least the aroma is there but the taste is still far from authentic.

Jeremy @ 19th Months Old.

Many faces of Jeremy ,
He can be so loving, cheeky & happy like an angle.
He can be curious and excited like a "wild animal"
He can be naughty and unreasonable like a "monster"
But he forever mummy sweet heart !!

Jeremy turn 19 months tomorrow … 5 more months he will be at his Terrible 2, well, he is already started he terrible 2 long time ago… *sign* .Nothing much I jot down for this month . Everything seem growing and improving for him . But what I realize was :

• This young lil boy doesn’t really understand rules . Example “naughty corner” , He won go and stand at the “naughty corner” when asked , he will run to me , cried and even huged my leg. I not sure he don’t want to obey or he doesn’t understand what we trying to say .I think we need to explain the rules repeatedly and redirect to the child often, till they understand .
• I probably still understanding less than half of what Jeremy says, He's getting a handle on most of the words i use around him. Slowly he's show some vocabulary spurt and putting together pairs of words, like "Lets go" . He been catching up and improving many words he learn . Started to say words come with 3 sound like : Bicycle , Banana . Those learning CD and Flash card was useful on helping his language development.
• He know how to different between slow song and faster song by dance and moving his body . “ really funny” love that, can made everybody laugh !!
• As I observed, He learned much by imitation and is interested in doing many of the things he sees us doing. Example : He will take lotion or powder and try to put and pat all over his body ( cos mummy always do that) ., He will take the phone & dial then talk talk talk , 2 things he always say tru the phone was "helo" & "bye-Bye" ... Another good example he follow us , was brushing teeth . That’s means he willing to brush his teeth without us forcing him . But he won lets us brush for him .
• Another thing I started to worry was, he started to be abit choosy on what he eat and what we try to introduce him. He used to eat what ever we give but now he will show us what he like and dun like about the food.
• His favorite words was “ Mai-ya” (don’t want) , everything also “mai-ya” .. Sometime want people to “tham” and slow talk to him only he want .

This a warning post .

BUT , I feel like writing this post, share/remind many parents out there or even myself about this incident that happen to one of my close friend ‘s son which age 5. It’s happened last 2 weeks at one of the well known shopping complex. .It’s not the place we go, cos this can be happen anywhere, as long the place had ESCALATOR . We often heard about kids legs stuck at the Escalator . But this was abit different, not at the legs.

According to my friend, her son skins actually was gotten inside the escalator, they were lucky cos managed to pulled his skin out , other wise … I think the hand was gone …. It’s was really bad the skin was almost fall off and even see the bone . It’s happen so sudden and very fast like few second , This happen cos the son was seating at the escalator.

Last please beware and take good care to our lil toddlers, Sometime they are too curious , too excited , too happy while they able to go shopping . They don’t realize what is dangerous to them . They don't know what will harm them . When bad thing happen like this, we cant blame anyone . No body want this to be happen !! BUT we can prevent it !! Maybe you can share with me, how to prevent this to be happen ??? How normally u do to remind your kids ?

( Doctor said in future he might not able to carry heavy thing, he actually

Old Mag + Mossy net

Last Saturday was a busy day for me, i skip my Chiropractic treatment too . I told doctor i plan to have my treatment twice a week rather than 3 times a week, seem i was very much OK now. No more pain or numbness, now the treatment more on adjusted the cervical spine & bone . It's need long time. So i will take my time for many months of treatment that comes . I don't want to rush and get myself stress or tired.
Since i m fine, i decided to clean abit of my store room, oh... i realize i have many old magazines since year 2004 . If thrown all away, abit wasted . So i plan to cut out what is necessary to keep .

I keep all the parenting tips / problem, it's should be help for me as a mother now and in future . Of cos not forget to cut out all the recipe from the magazine too . I think i personally like to cook and bake . But don't know why i just cant find the passion to start on . I been drag on for many years, till now i still haven really started to cook a proper and nice meal . My hubby always said, "u keep so many recipe books, but i haven seen u cook also ???!!!" ...... emmm... sorry dear , one day .... (duno which day:)

Apart from cleaning the store room, we had our Mossy Net . Finally we decide to install the Mossy Net . We been plan for many years cos it was really expensive and we had our window grille early. We try not to take out the grille , install the net and put back the grille again, it's will cost even more .

So we had our Magnetic Mosquito Net yet still remain the window grille . Day time we can open up the window, so the room not so stuffy and hot . Not afraid of mosquito too . Lately alot of mosquito. Mossy really like to attack baby and kids, my son was a good example ,till the leg was full of marks and bite :(
The mossy net charges was RM10 x 10 SQft, with 5 years warranty . We only install upstairs bedroom/bathroom only . That's already cost us RM8XX ..... Good news was we can save electricity , don't neet to on the air-cone most of the time & no mossy during the night time .
I am happy with that !!

Mother's Day Celebration

Yesterday was Mother's Day, like usual we went out as a big whole family including PIL, SIL and BIL ... total 5 mothers in this whole family . We had A special High Tea buffet at The Mines Resort, The Cafe name : Abdul & Charlie's, an all-day dining coffee house serves Asian and International fare. The coffee house is built with the Malaysian ‘Atap’ design overseeing the swimming lagoon . It's only cost RM32 ++ for Adult and kids have 50% . I can say the price is cheap compared to others, the food was good and nice for this price, of cos we cant expect lobster or oyster . The overall views of the resort was nice too. We eat from 12noon to 3:30pm .Maybe it's was outside KL area, that's is why not much people know about this High Tea Buffet . Sadly to say i didn't bring my camera, My camera was left in the office :( . Other wise i can have show u alot of nice photos nearby the resort and also Jeremy , He was really happy , so many kor kor and jie jie carried him around , cos the youngest in the family. He was enjoying the fish pond at the cafe too. After makan makan we head over to The Mines Shopping Fair for some window shopping. Below was the image of The Mines Resort . Not bad huh ?? The cafe was just right beside the pool .

Happy Mother's Day

I never knew how much my heart could hold until someone call me mummy.

Mother day was just around the corner , just right at this Sunday !! I like to take this opportunity to wish every mummy have a great and Wonderful Mother's Day . An early wishes to all mummies at my parents blogroll... You all mummies are just super and great .

The pictures above took when Jeremy was 3 months and 16 months old. I took quite alot of Jeremy photos lastime when he was still a baby. Now i realize abit difficult to captures his photos, he will run here and there, move here and there . The pictures always turn out not good or blur .... :( so have to choose an old photos of me and Jeremy on this special mother day scrap. BTW, I be busy tomorrow and have some date line and presentation to be done tomorrow. So do weekend !! Last but not least, Wish you all have a Wonderful Mother's Day either with your own kids or with your mum.

Unexpected gathering and gift .

I was meeting up with a previous lecturer of mine during my studies back in Ipoh. He was a great lecturer i ever know, he always mingle with us as a students, very friendly and carefully listen to our design proposal & he always give us his option and design to improve our design. I always look for him to "click" on my architectural design during my study. He such a humble lecturer & architect. I was so glad that he able to meet up with me at Alamanda last 2 weeks, rather for me to travel to KL . We had a good chat and also with some of my junior in Ipoh too. BTW, this lecturer of mine from Japan, recently staying in Tokyo and he used to travel to Malaysia very often, he even told me Malaysia just like his third HOME. (1st was Japan, 2nd was China... i guess)

At the end of the gathering, he gave me a gift for JEREMY .

" oh, i'm very sorry, i thot JEREMY is a Girl ???? " replied the lecturer.

Anyway, i do feel heartwarming to received any gift from my lecturer.
Even Jeremy BOY cant wear this , i will still keep this cloths as a gift from all the way from Japan, who know in future God give me a beautiful baby girl (keep my finger cross).
